What this dataset does NOT provide are memorial markers, such as bricks or bench plaques dedicated to the memory of family, friends or loved ones. As of this writing, this data is aggregated by the Wilsonville Parks Department as a subset of the “Signs” Feature Class in SDE. The main purpose of the layer is to catalog all interpretive signs for maintenance purposes. Attribute data such as “Plaque Type” is subjective to the originator of the data, and is intended solely to aid the Community Development Department in cataloging and classifying all signs within the City of Wilsonville. Sign types and classifications were not reviewed by board or determined to be representative of the City of Wilsonville as a whole.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P><SPAN /></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>

Data collection began with institutional knowledge and other historical documents. A map and list of leads was generated from the aforementioned knowledge and routes were generated for collection efficiency. Attribute types were generated for various aspects of data collection, concerning classification, materials and plaque styles. Field work was undertaken to collect photos, verify assets and record attributes. Information was entered at the office and in the field.

These signs belong to other feature class layers, and do not fall within the scope of this data collection effort.
